The importance of drainage maintenance during the winter to help you achieve net zero goals.

We understand the importance of finding environmentally friendly, energy-efficient solutions for our clients, to assist where we can on their own carbon journeys. Putting measures in place now to prevent poor drainage in the winter months will save time, energy and resources further down the line.

During the flash flooding over the summer, our Reactive Team were busy attending to onsite emergencies.

Main stack descaling works

As part of a planned preventative maintenance contract, our drainage team carry out descaling works. Drain descaling can lengthen the life span of your existing drainage infrastructure, removing build-up, debris, and rust from drainpipes.

Urinal Descaling following PPM

At one of our client sites, the urinal descale was carried out following our scheduled maintenance visit when the team raised the need for further.

Rainwater Stack Replacement

At the point of inception, we found a faulty section of pipe, on a cast 4” rainwater vertical stack within a basement plant room.

Essential Reactive Maintenance

MS' Drainage Division carried out essential reactive maintenance in response to a flood callout raised at Regal House in November 2022. Following the initial callout, we deployed a team immediately.

Failed Rainwater Pit Pump

Our Drainage Team recently attended an incident involving a second-floor basement rainwater pump pit.

On inspection, it was discovered that the drainage system had experienced a backlog, resulting in the accumulation of approximately 2000 gallons of clean water in the pump pit.

Basement Waste Sack Repairs

Our drainage team visited a client site in response to a complaint about a foul odour. The bad smell was coming from the commercial basement office.

Installation High-Temperature Waste Pipework and Cold Water Supply for a Commercial Kitchen Steam Oven

The project required installing the first 2 meters of waste pipework in a high-temperature rated pipe and connecting it to the existing system while ensuring that no drain smells vented back to the tundish.
